My hat's off again to Rodriguez, Who's gone out of his way just to please us, and this bit of film noir, begins with a roar, that is sure to make you yell HOLY SHIT!!! WOW!!! OH my God!!! Did you see that!! Oh man she's hot!!! LOOK OUT!!!!! I cannot find words to relate, The action, the detail, intricate, It may seem a bit crude, To a boring old prude, But if you've got a pulse, then it's great. No spoilers, but for the overall feeling? See the end of verse one. Think of Despera...

I was just reading a funny story by our very own hunter of lobster, Link when I was reminded of my first apartment after I got married in college, almost nine years ago...... This was a 200 dollar a month wonder in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. While that's not as bad as it sounds (you could get a fairly nice apartment there at the time for 300/350,) this was not prime real estate. It wasn't in the slums or anything, (this town couldn't have supported a slum) but it was the best we could afford ...

Muhahahaha!!!! I've finally got some energy back, and am feeling right for the first time in about two weeks. Still technically got the pneumonia, still a little weak, but feeling good (and full of yummy nachos and tilapia.) Therefore, I've decided to listen to one doctor (and not another) and very, very cautiously try running a mile or two tommorow slowly. It's maybe a little early, but one follow up doc said I'd probably be alright to run a little, carefully by the end of this week, an...

Well, except for you.....but you're the exception and you knew the title was a trick.......right. But since you're here, sit. Read, enjoy yourself......... Thank you for falling prey to my points whoring, because while I do very well with articles about zombie deer, fishing for squirrels, and political commentary, this is both about my running, and my pneumonia, either of which is apparantly about as popular as my article on dressage (horse ballet)......which you notice I very purposefully...

Or welcome to my blog after the joys of defensive driving videos. Even as we speak, I'm waiting for the @#$%ing built in break to be up so I can take another one of the exams. My recommendation? Take the real classes. About 3 months ago I got a ticket driving on post. Just one ticket. (I haven't had one in 10 years before coming here, and it's not because I was just lucky.) The back part of post. On the way to work at 4:30 a.m. And therefore lost onpost driving privelleges for 90 days. Woo...

Over the last year, I have listened to a lot of argument over the war in Iraq, why we're there, who's to blame, if blame is to be assigned, et cetera ad nauseum. I left a reply to one of these arguments in Col Gene's blog today, Link and damn it, I liked it so much, I decided to make it into an article. As a member of the military, and the intelligence community, I would like to take personal blame for the war in Iraq. Not only did I personally feed misinformation to the president, C...

Hi, enjoy supper? What'd you have, beef? chicken? How many innocent potatoes died to make you dinner? HUH???!!! As a practicing omnivore (and I will eat damned near anything) in an increasingly liberal society, I find myself disturbed by an increasing trend in our views of morality. Namely that rather than basing moral values on an established system of right or wrong, we tend to follow whichever new morality fits into our lives the most asthetically. This is an article on how that rules o...

My wife is taking a few courses right now, and as a musical history project, was assigned a presentation on Gershwin. As part of her presentation, to show the extremely heavy jazz influences on, and the versatility of their more serious, classical music (natch, after all, they were a couple of jazz musicians out of Tin Pan Alley), she played some of the music they wrote, Porgy and Bess, Rhapsody in Blue (quite possibly my favorite classical piece), as performed by different composers. P...
