Less horizon more blip, ain't that grand?
Another brief update, still fixing cars.
I fixed mine yesterday, the Mustang is back on the streets, as of yesterday. Of course, I also noticed I had an expired registration and inspection, so it's back in the driveway, as of today. In fact, while it's running like a dream, there is a horrific clangy type noise upon starting or really low idle, that makes me suspect a cracked flywheel (I hope not), a bad torque converter, or maybe if I'm lucky, a starter clutch that's not disengaging all the way. It goes away at any kind of increased engine speed, so who knows?
At any rate, it's not leaking, and it shifts like a dream now. Hell, I'll probably get two or three miles to the gallon (and the old rate was 11 to 13 mpg, so that's saying something) more now that the tranny's shipshape.
The army thing is going well. I passed my audition last week. Later this week, or early next week, I go to MEPS and reenlist. Then off to school? Nope. I'm effectively DEPPed. I go nowhere and don't start earning pay until the class starts in late January. Crap.
In the meantime, I'm desperately trying to stall foreclosure on my house. If I can make a payment in the next 11 days, I can buy some time. But.........I sortof even started sounding out my parents about a loan. My Dad suggested I let them take the house, and just deal with having bad credit for the next few years. I've thought about it. Sigh................
And that's all the news for Lake Woebegone, where the women are strong, the men are good looking, and the sheep are still scared................
