My scale hates me.

What the hell happened? I went from well ripped to well rumped. Bleah. Time to do something about it.

I got off my running schedule back in March with the pneumonia and have been putting it off. Well, my waistband is saying hello, and my scale is saying I gained 2 lbs a month since then. So I hereby make myself publicly accountable on wahines diet blog site.

My long term goal is twenty pounds down and reassess from there. Short term? Five in november. As to my waist size, ain't saying. Nyah. So goodbye dr. pepper (okay, maybe some diet cherry vanilla), goodbye junk carbs, hello oodles of running. I did three miles today, and I'm going to start back down at 15 a week, and increase from there, shooting for the Austin Freescale Marathon again in February.

Better yet, I'm going to crosstrain to drop the pounds faster. Walking or biking on my rest days, maybe do double exercise days. I'm also considering weight training again, although it's been a couple of years. But for now, five pounds. Pictures to follow. Oh yes, and to keep myself honest, I'll be posting a log about once a week of my exercise. So nyeh. I will marathon again.

Good luck in the battle against the scale. I've been there and had similar problems. Even when I eat next to nothing, I'm not losing weight. My schedule is so crazy for work and such that I get little or no time for organized and scheduled exercise, without which weight loss won't happen.

I miss running/walking long distance, and I know it would help in the weight loss, but until things are cleaned up more in my house, the treadmill stays in the upright position.

Sooner or later, I'll get back to exercising. Yup, sooner or later.

Thanks for the inspiration. As you say, "Enough Already!".

Good luck to you Spc. I just read Kelly's article too. I totally understand and recently came to a decision myself to continue where I left off. I stopped working out three months ago which have not been good for me. If you're determine to do it I know you will!
