Been broke, running out of cash, two cars broke down in a two day period, my renters moved out, unable to find a frickin' job (which is an absolute first for me), turned out my wife's got diabetes and polycystic ovarian syndrome, and I had to go in to sub today for a class I knew was gonna be pure hell.

Well.............the class turned out not only to be not hell, but fun even. I actually got to teach for once, woot choir! My specialty. The diabetes and pos is treatable by the same medication (weird, huh?), I may have a buyer for the rent house, I may be getting a fat wad of cash for narcing on a drug dealer near where I live, and one of the local school districts where I hadn't even applied called today to see if I wanted a job teaching music starting at 36k.

Furthermore, I fixed one of the cars tonight, (for about 12 bucks) and while I was at the part store, I saw a beautiful 73 convertabile. I went over and drooled for awhile, and when the owner came out, we chewed the fat a bit, and it turned out he's got the exact transmission that I need for mine, just swing by and pick it up, plus some leads on other parts.

All coming together at once. Serendipitous chance, right? Uh-uh. Thank you, God.

Cool.

Nope. My dad always said that things happen for a reason. That sometimes you have to have some bad things happen in your life before some good ones can happen. I'd have to say after the "Year of Suckitude (2004)", 2005 has shaped up to be a good year in my life. It looks like it's all coming around for you as well.

You can't keep a good man down.

While reading your first paragraph I was wondering why it was in the humor section, but as I kept reading I'm glad it's here. Because isn't it funny how life turns out sometimes?

It didn't make me laugh, but it sure made me smile, and it made me want to show it to others.

And like how you ended your article, it's also how I feel about it.

Cool. Yes, cool indeed.

I was going to ask the same question that UDigit started to, but after reading his response, I guess I can see the reason for the category.

Congratulation on all the great stuff, and best of luck with the job.

That's excellent, and I'm very happy and relieved to hear about all this better fortune that's coming your way!

I can't recall the name of the medication that your wife's on, but I do know that it works. My friend had the same issues...she couldn't get pregnant despite 5 years of trying and after a few ultrasounds and blood tests found that she had POS and diabetes...she got put on the medication you're talking about, and within 2 months had dropped 10lbs AND got pregnant.

I'll still send some good vibes and thoughts your way...
