And again I say, AH HA!!!!! As part of my return to the states from Korea, I gained back much of what I'd left behind, and so much more......including weight. In Korea, thanks to the joys of the battle buddy system and paranoid plt sgts, there was many a time when your two options were stay on post and read or workout, or go off post and get blasted. I don't drink, so.......
Although I met my personal workout goal there (to look good naked when I came home on midtour) I stopped, and proceeded to gain back a little over a pound a month, for about 18 months, or 23 lbs if you look at it that way.
So my solution? Kill the sodas/eating out, and take up serious running again. No, wait! why not insane marathon training? Hey you're starting to lose muscle, and you don't want an injury from unbalanced legs either? Why not workout? 198, 197, 196, 195, 194, 193, 192, 191, 190, 189, 188, 187, 186, WTF???? 188, 190, 192, 194??? I stopped getting noticably skinnier, and I just started the weight training, so it's to early for that. One week goes by, two weeks, three, only getting worse......and then, today......
Heh heh heh.....today, I thought to compare scales again. I'd tried it before, but it had been 4 months. In short, mine lies. It lies bigtime, automatic recalibration or not. Oh yeah, 184 and dropping baby!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! In short, I've been dead wrong, and I'm loving it. (now another 13, and I'll be where I was when I joined the army.........better distributed though)
