And again I say, AH HA!!!!! As part of my return to the states from Korea, I gained back much of what I'd left behind, and so much more......including weight. In Korea, thanks to the joys of the battle buddy system and paranoid plt sgts, there was many a time when your two options were stay on post and read or workout, or go off post and get blasted. I don't drink, so.......

Although I met my personal workout goal there (to look good naked when I came home on midtour) I stopped, and proceeded to gain back a little over a pound a month, for about 18 months, or 23 lbs if you look at it that way.

So my solution? Kill the sodas/eating out, and take up serious running again. No, wait! why not insane marathon training? Hey you're starting to lose muscle, and you don't want an injury from unbalanced legs either? Why not workout? 198, 197, 196, 195, 194, 193, 192, 191, 190, 189, 188, 187, 186, WTF???? 188, 190, 192, 194??? I stopped getting noticably skinnier, and I just started the weight training, so it's to early for that. One week goes by, two weeks, three, only getting worse......and then, today......

Heh heh heh.....today, I thought to compare scales again. I'd tried it before, but it had been 4 months. In short, mine lies. It lies bigtime, automatic recalibration or not. Oh yeah, 184 and dropping baby!!! Woo Hoo!!!!! In short, I've been dead wrong, and I'm loving it. (now another 13, and I'll be where I was when I joined the army.........better distributed though)

I wish you weren't so dead set on getting your audience to mentally picture you naked.

Congrats, tho. Glad the training is going well for you.

Good for you -- although, I must say -- men should weight at least 180, preferrably 190 -- and they should have a least a bit of a gut.

Good job, and good detective work on that scale. Now you have to punish it for it's evil ways, try putting it under a piano or some other heavy object

Congrats man! Maybe you're allowed to celebrate with something nice, since that stupid scale has been lying to you for a while

Good for you...Can you get greywar to work out with you? Or is he doing that already?

I think that would depend on height and build.  My hubby is about 5' 11" and weighs 170- no fat, just muscle.  And, I disagree with the gut.  Small guts make "other" things seem *ahem*..bigger.

Ramyun and hooch diet. I plan on writing a book (and screwing you out of any profits too).

Bastard. You know I did it first. (The second stage involves eating 2 fried hamburger patties/day... and as much crappy liquor as you can stand. If you're still hungry after the burgers, eat a kosher dill pickle, but do so with a knife and fork so that you're psychologically fooled into thinking it's actually a meal. Then complete the standard right forearm workout.) (I imagine you'd leave *that* out of the book, too.)

Obviously crucial. I heard somewhere that that burns/uses up about 110 calories per, ummm......set.
