So everybody grunt like a caveman.

Did something today hadn't done in awhile, today I made fire. Ugh, grunt, growl.

This is the first place I've lived with a fireplace in 9 years, seeing as how Korean barracks rooms are hardly big on indoor spas, fireplaces, whirlpools and the like, and Monterey has few fireplaces, being 60 or 70 degrees year round.

Today was nice and cool, about 45, 50 degrees, so I thought, why not? Even as we speak, I'm kicking back with the wonderful acrid smell of burning oak wood spreading through the house.............and it only took me half a newspaper and two tries, too. Did I mention it had been awhile?

Gonna sit back, relax, and wish my wife was home so we could make love in front of the fire after I'd suitably impressed her by my manly skill. Maybe later I'll return to the fine art of mechanicing, but for now, I'm curling up with the hot cocoa a good book, and chilling.....no, warming? If I'm smirking about the results of the elections, I'll do it quietly, at home. At any rate.........I wonder if I have any marshmallows?

Man, I love making a fire.

I learned recently that all the skills and knowledge I gained as a Boy Scout has been lost. I am not a firebug.

I love the Sand Dollar Inn because they do have fireplaces in the rooms! What a great place to stay!

We had a fireplace once when we lived on the lake. I loved the fire but hated the dust and dirt that it brought into the house. During a raging blizzard it was indeed a comfort.
