it raised it's ugly head again.....

I've noticed lately that some of my blogs that I thought were dead and gone have started to accumulate points again. This is more noticable in my political, points whoring rants, (I don't mean for them to be points whoring, but isn't it nice that it turns out that way?) but is by no means is excluded to them.

I've also heard/read that some people are experiencing spam on their older blogs. While I enjoy the extra points, I fear my words may come back to haunt me like yesterday's red curry beef. Plus all the extra flipping through to find out what's new/trying to remember the gist of the blog that's just been posted to, but that you wrote a month ago.......

Does this happen to you?

P.S. If you are going to look at my older blogs, I recommend the siege of the deer series, or anything having to do with squirrels.

I love it when people go back and read my old stuff. Points rule! Actually, I ran a post a while back asking people to tell me what they thought was their best stuff and I'd go back and read it. I was moved to do this when my favorite article that I've written was moving down my top 5 list in my sidebar. I thought it would be crappy if it fell off completely. Then I thought that maybe some other people had similar feelings on their own blogs and I thought that'd be a great way to increase the points and awareness of what everyone thought was their best work. So, now I'm going to go back and relook your old stuff and bump it...

This has been happening to me--I've been getting quite a few referrals recently on old articles. One is my article on students plagiarizing and I would bet that students are getting the beginning of term plagiarism talks and are googling ways to get around them and hitting my article. But the others? I have no clue. And there was a really dry spell just before this. Weird.

BTW I'm looking up the "seige of the deer" series...the name intrigued me.
