Who ever heard of dressage?

The U.S. has once again demonstrated it's athletic prowess in an area few of you may know about, but one that sends my wife into almost orgasmic pleasure at the mere mention of it's name, dressage. No, it doesn't involve thimbles or sewing machines. Imagine the horse whisperer meets dances with ponies. It's been called ballet on horseback. Check it out here. Link

While the horses alone are something out of a little girl's my little pony fantasy, the moves in this sport are amazing. Especially noteworthy in this event, is the fact that the last rider to compete for the u.s. had to get a perfect score in order for the team to pull off the bronze.

But wait, it's not over yet. As far as I can tell, the competition for individual performance has yet to be held, so you can probably still pick it up on tv. It's not my all time favorite, but my wife loves it. And lets face it. You already know how the swim meet will turn out, and you're better off not wasting time on the basketball game this year. Just don't miss the marathon, that's all I ask.
