And there were shepherds living in the fields nearby abiding their sheep by night.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were sore afraid.
But the angel said unto them, "Fear not, for I bring you tidings of great joy that will be for all people.
For unto you is born this day in the City of David, a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
And this will be a sign to you: You will find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a Manger.
Suddenly a great multitude of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God, and sayin, Glory to God in the highest, peace on earth, and goodwill towards men, on whom his favor rests."
