Very cartoony, very violent. But then it's a kung fu flick, right? Hmmm........hehhhhsitant yessssss. Depends on the 8 year old I guess. Lots of violence, but I don't really remember anything truly inappropriate for a youngun.

'Course I wasn't watching it with my should a child watch this filters on. Maybe you could prescreen it? It's worth seeing twice, (something I VERY rarely do in the theater) and it makes a great excuse, right?
