At last!!! The last book in the Stephen King Dark Tower series will be out in twenty days!!!! I can die happy. I've been reading this series since grade school.

I still think it has the best opening ever, beginning with, "The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed."
(My favorite last line was the execution of Sydney Carton in A Tale of Two Cities, Tis a far, far better thing......)

There are a few writers I like better, (John Irving, Ray Bradbury, Hemingway, etc.) but this is by far my favorite series. That's it, no deep insight. Just deep overwhelming orgasmic pleasure that I'll be able to finish this awesome series.......(contented sigh)

Gotta tell you I've loved this series myself! Especially the parts where you can re-experience a bit of each of his other books, I think it is awesome the way he works those parts in. Did you read "The Talisman" and "Black House"?
